Less Expensive RBP Grille Options
Well I love the RBP/Big Mouth style grilles but I'm not spending a grand on it (even though it looks f*cking awsome) but just browsng around eBay/Google I found these guys. Emailed the sellers asking if they can be seperated from the chrome shell so I can fit it to my painted-to-match grille with a little cutting. Just wonderin if anyone has had any experience with these or has 1.
This grille has an inner shell kind of like the RBPs
This one I don't now but it looks good.

if they work, they will be painted Matte Black BTW!

I have not seen that one before but I have seen the style from quite a few sites.

Good luck with the project!

I plan on making my own using a piece of acrylic and cutting out the outside rivet area, then finding something for the screen

Well, I can't blame you for not wanting to drop 1K on an RBP grille. I thought the $600 for mine was bad enough. I actually prefer the studded one since it gives the grille some depth (and it'll be easier to cut it out of the shell if you want to do that).

Paramount has some really nice products, I was looking at the same grille as your first picture. They look really good installed, I'm seriously thinking about getting one.

I'll def keep you all posted but right now the seller is actually looking into it (loll probably because I told him i'd be buying the whole thing and not have him seperate em) he did say he had the mesh from a ford if I wanted to try and make my own but Werm I'll give you his info if you want then you could use it for your project.

Those are some good alternatives to RBP

I had seen those. It was only a matter of time LOL. Roland has new rx2 and even rx3 designs coming out to keep ahead of the game.
