4.7 quarter mile times? Post them up!
Anyone wanna take a guess as to what stock 4.7 would run in the 1/4?

I have no idea, but my butt dyno says High 15's, low 16's...MAYBE.

But probably slower.

16 or slower

my buddy's 4.7 qc runs 16.2's..he's gonna run on 17's this weekend so we'll see if it improves..

My old 2003 DAKOTA 4.7 (reg cab/2wd) 3:55s auto went 15.7 when it was bone stock, so im guessing around mid 16's given the added weight of a ram.

I'd say low 16's/high 15's. My buddy used to have a std cab, auto 4.7 that would run dead even with my Colorado. My Colorado beat my old Sonoma that went 16.2's.

Hey, i know this might be an old thread already, but i figured id post this,

2008 Dodge Ram 4.7L SOHC, N/A, mostly stock, ran with open intake and Cherry Bomb Vortex Glasspack

This is the data from my time sheet at a test and tune, Sunday, Sep 11, 2011

This is in 1/8th mile format, the strip we used didn't have the run length for 1/4 mile

E.T: 9.855
Speed: 75.36 MPH
Reaction: .620
60' ET: 2.418

translates to 15.37.. Next year, predator in the mix, maybe nitrous, see what happens!

My last truck was a 2006 silverado with the 5.3 and 295 hp. I was able to get a 15.74. The 4.7 has 310 hp so I'm sure it should be somewhere in the same ballpark. But I almost forgot the power to weight thing. I'm not sure which truck weighs more.:4-dontknow:

Im thinking my stock Crew Cab 4x4 would go high 10's and 16's butt my butt dyno is likely out of calibration.

Stock 2008 and newer 4.7L QC's should run around a 16.5 to 17 second 1/4 mile. My 2010 ran about a 17 (from memory), but keep in mind that's with heavy tires, full tank of gas, 100 lb step bars, 100 lb trailer hitch....blah blah. Probably more like a 16.5 maybe lower with normal tires and without the extra weight. My track is about as good as it gets otherwise in terms of elevation. I've got mine to break 16's with just a tuner and drop in, with the same extra weight and tires. I'm hoping to hit 14's with the stall, ram air, 4.10's, exhaust, and a few other minor mods. I have a hunch I'll be falling short :(

I don't see any reason a stock 2008+ 4.7L single cab short bed with 17" wheels and 3.92 wouldn't run in the 15's. or close to it. My brother used to have this truck that I described and it was pretty quick compared to mine.

I ran 15.4 @ 92.4mph on 1/4 mile. But that's a hemi.
