How can i fit 40's? Need some specs!

i have an 07 mega cab that i currently have a 6in suspension lift with 37's, the tires tend to rub very rarely when bumpin around. I really want to take it up another notch so i can run 40's. If i keep the 6inch kit i got now, add in some spacers and switch blocks in rear from 4 to 6inches and run that with a 3 inch body lift would that allow me to clear 40's? all in all it will be 11 inches of total lift on a mega cab.

Good question. I'm pretty sure SUL7ENAZ could help you on this one. I found pics of a Mega Cab with a 12" suspension lift on 40's, but that doesn't help you very much:

Since I can't PM yet... I am looking to get 40's underneath too if you come across anything solid. Been researching a while with no luck. I am over on Little Creek, and have a QC. After some measuring with my buddy who has an F-150 on 40's, we think the 6" susp. and a 3" body on 4.5" backspacing will work with 13.5" tires.

I contacted RIZE and Bulletproof, neither make or have any plans of making a larger lift for the 1/2-ton Dodge.

Have you tried Top Gun Custumz? They are in the planning stages now for a 8" long arm kit, not sure if its released to the public yet or not. I know they came out with one for the 2500/3500s.

you will def be able to fit 40s with 9" of lift. i see that setup all the time. And what makes tires rub is not the width but the backspacing of the rims

I sat on hold for a while today, and didn't get through to tech support or sales. I was trying to get it done on strictly suspension, but the only thing I have heard to work so far is the 6"/3" body. Quite possibly gonna pull the trigger this weekend. Thanks for all the input and possible leads.

you can run a leveling kit ontop of your lift kit to keep it all suspension. GET LIKE A 2.5" COILSPCER ONTOP OF YOUR LIFT

The only problem with that is the BDS and fabtech already use a spacer on top of the coilover. Im not gonna be the guy testing the strength of two spacers bolted together on top. It is looking like a 3" body or gonna have to settle with 37's.
