i am proudly now not only the owner of a 1995 dodge ram 2500 v10, but also recently the owner of a 2002 cummins :smileup: it already has a complete stereo system makeover, a holley blue fuel pump, edge 5 stage programmer, and a 4 inch straight pipe and some decent looking home made traction bars.. oh and my personal favorite, the owner took the factory air box off and clamped a specter filter right on the turbo next to the hot exhaust manifold.. its my hot air intake :LOL: which will soon hopefully be changed. been looking at air intakes and intake tubes from aFe. anyone have any knowledge or opinions about them?

Nice acquisition. I have an AFE Stage II unit on my HEMI and I really like it. I've used AFE stuff before on a Duramax diesel. It is well made and works great!

I have an Airaid cai and its a pretty nice piece. about 300 bucks and a 15 to 20 hp gain. All diesels should get a cai as their first mod. A great addition to the cummins.

My dad has an AFE Intake on his 5.9 cummins, and you can really feel it. And it really belts out the turbo whistle.

ok here are some pics. the first is the truck itself obviously, second pic is my lovely hot air intake thanks to previous owners cheap ass not getting a true cia, third and forth pics are of what appears to be some sort of pcv system? its on the top of the timing cover and there is a hose leading down to about even with the bottom of the radiator fan and then nothing.. the bottle is missing (another one of the previous owners brilliant ideas im sure) and the fan is picking up the oil that comes out and slinging it onto the engine. can anyone put up some pics of what is supposed to be there? since im new to the cummins. also is there any advantage to having it exit into the air or is it another bit of useless engineering?
