Airram Power wire and Superchips?

Any benefits to using the Power Wire from Air Ram if I'm already using a Superchips tuner? I suspect the tuner already make a similar change. Anyone know, perhaps had first hand experience.

I would not use the power wire at all. I don't knwo that product in particular ... but almost every device of that type and description is just an in line resistor that tricks the computer into adding more fuel to the mix. Now I read the description on their website and it claims they don't do that, then describe the result as lower the temp read by 20 degrees ... which will do exactly what I described.

You might get a slight performance boost over the stock tune (since they are correct that stock tune on most vehichles is slightly lean to help reduce emmisions) but at the cost of injecting more fuel than nessasary. A good tuner should give you an omptimal ratio ... and I would not mess with it. This type of device is a well known gimic that has been around for years. If it worked you would hear a lot more about it from true performance buffs. If you are getting a superchips I would NOT also get the Power Wire as it may cause the system to run too rich and ultimately reduce performance.

i have both. i had the power wire for a few years and didn't notice any difference - the superchips tune has been in the truck for 7 months and i love it. i had to detune it to get some work done on the truck and it was real noticeable how much of a difference it makes.
