5.9 throttle body
Does anybody know if there is any difference between the 5.9 throttle body and the 5.2? if there is would there be any advantage to running a 5.9tb on a 5.2? i want to try this cheap mod that everyone is talking about and was thinking if the 5.9 one has bigger bores then i would start with one of those.

Intaking more air means you'll sacrifice a bit of torque on in the lower RPM band and torque is what gets your truck moving.

question for ramtech- i took a throttle body of a 5.9 in the junkyard and did the port and polish mod and put it on my 5.2L. do you think i sacrafised any low end torque their? sometimes it kinda feels like it takes a bit to get up to speed but it was allways like that but sometimes more than others.

I think you may have given up a little of that low end torque but you'd gain HP in the upper RPM band. Of course, only before and after dyno pulls could tell you for sure.

yea what i did notice though is that before i put the throttle body on there it struggled a bit to get up to 90 lol. but after that seemed a little slower on accelleration not bad but like it all wasnt there but it scooted past 90 the first time i tried it so i think it was a good mod all n all.
