07 an 08 4.7 hp difference

What make the 75 hp gain difference on the two motors and can you buy yhe parts to make the 07 have the same numbers?

The heads are the biggest part of the HP gain. Cam profiles remain the same as does bore, stroke and compression.

So if I found 08 heads The rest would be the same? Is there an intake change? Or ECM flash needed?

Without crosschecking part numbers, I can't be sure about the intakes. From the description in the service info, they appear to be the same.

It seems the big differences are the heads and intake manifold. The '08+ are running two spark plugs per cylinder. I'm not sure how involved it would be to run 8 more plugs. I would assume a pcm and various other parts swap.

Ok so after reading your post I went straight to my truck. Where is the second spark plug suppose to be again..... is it under the coil pack???? Because I only could see 4 on each side

RamTech 02-15-2011 10:52 PM

The second plugs are at the end of the wires attached to the coils.
