Upgrade Stereo ?
Was thinking of upgrading my Stereo should I stay with factory or aftermarket. Was looking for Nav. and Blutooth and what would prices be

Aftermarket stereos are definitely worth it if you know what you are looking for. So what are you looking to upgrade? The speakers or just the head unit?

There are lots of different headunits available. I am not really sure which one is the best of them all but you have a variety to choose from. You have Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood... the list goes on. I am an Alpine or Pioneer guy myself but it is up to your personal taste. You can also take a look at the Mygig. I have the one in the '11 Ram and I really like the thing. If you go that route you can always go to the dealer and get it all hooked up

Depending on your budget, Pioneer has some really sweet touch screen nav/blu tooth/gps/sat radio capable that have some awesome eq. capabilities. Here is a link to one that already has everything already in it (the AVIC series) but they also sell the radio and you can buy each piece separately as you can afford them.

If you are looking to install any subs I am sure you have noticed the extremely limited space under your back seat. MTX has a solution that sounds GREAT (I have one in my truck) that you can choose between loaded (w/ subs and an amp already) or with only speakers or just the preform box that you can add your own speakers to (the 10" speakers from MTX are specially designed to perform w/ only a small amount of air space and I highly recommend them.

I hope this some of this helps.

I also agree with Scatpak07's comment on the Mygig, my '11 came with the all alpine system w/ the mygig and it works flawlessly. But I'm sure its incredibly expensive from the dealership though...

It is ^^^^ incredibly expensive but can be replaced under warranty. You can get a much better deal on better equipment from the aftermarket. Pioneer head units are great buys with a lot of features. And while are at it, consider upgrading your amp, speakers and adding a subwoofer to the mix.

You might want to peruse what one of our supporting vendors can off. Check out

for speakers, amps and subs the best bang for your buck is MTX, they sound amazing and a decent price too. go on sale alot so you can pick up cheaper. i know rockford amps are a good bang for buck too but have no experiance with anything else they make
