New guy, old dodge needing insight
I have a 2003, 4.7 ram. I have a slight hesitation when accelerating (around 40-55 mph) when giving it just a little gas. It acts like it isn't getting enough fuel, I suppose. Is this common, or has anyone had similar problems with their truck? Thx.

Normally, hesitation like that is a sign of a dirty throttle body or a faulty EGR valve. Try cleaning your throttle body

I assume you haven't gotten a CEL yet so it may not be the EGR because a fault there usually results in a code.

Good luck!

Welcome from NC! I can't answer your question but you have a couple suggestions already. This place is great for that. Post up pics of your Ram when you can!!

I had a similar issue with my truck, granted mine is a 89 Ram 50 with only a 2.0, but mine hesitated during acceleration, like it was bogging out, either getting too much fuel or not enough. I fixed my issue by advancing my Ignition timing via the distributor. Still havent had an issue since!

thanks everyone, a lot of responses, cool. I'll check the egr valve and then clean the throttle body next, thanks again.
