Vehicle Height

Someone has to ask the dumb questions... so I'll go first :)

Standard overall vehicle height of a 4x4 is ?

Just curious if I am going to have troubles parking it underground.

You can go onto Ram's website (and several others) and download the specs and dimensions of your truck. Since yours is a 2011 this should be easy to find since the information should be readily available (if you have increased your ride height, need to add that as well to the numbers).

Thanks SnowChief,

I've looked through the owner's manual, user's guide and the websites and this information escapes me. Allowable height of 2m is about 6.5ft and I think it may be too tight.

I suppose I'll have to go outside and measure :)

74.8 in = 1.9m ...

Ram Nut -

Check out the Ram website link below - it shows the heights of a 2011 1500 for various '11 models.

I know with my leveling kit i try and duck when going in a parking structure...like that will really help. The wife said why are you ducking??? so I don't rip my roof off.

Thanks fellas.... 10cm (2.54") to spare.

I measured it while you were responding and that spec at 74.8 inches is quite accurate, I can only hope the parking people measured accurately as well :)

You were smart enough to actually measure.

One day I was iwth my kids and took them into Boston in my Ram fo a day in the "city". I got the dimensions of my truck and read the gargage height posting. The one thing I did not consider was the strobe light on my roof. Guess what? No sooner did I enter the garage, the strobe light was no more!!! No match for a concrete ceiling. You live and learn.

Keep an eye out for sprinkler lines and valve handles that my hang lower than the structure.
