Just Hit 60K miles...Proactive Maintenance Suggestions?
So I've had my daytona for a month now and love it more everyday. Cannot wait for some warmer weather here in CT so I can do some mods.
Flipped 60K yesterday and was thinking about any proactive maintenance that I can do..as in..replace something that isn't necessarily an issue yet but it's a good idea...thoughts?
Things that come to mind...
- spark plugs
- air filters
I a total rookie under the hood so any comments are welcomed here. I don't mind spending money to be proactive with items that make sense.
Thanks in advance.
Change engine oil.
check spare for proper pressure.
Flush and replace engine coolant
Drain and refill transfer case (4x4)
Change rear axle fluid
Change front axle fluid (4x4)
Inspect brake linings
Replace air filter
Replace spark plugs
Inspect ignition cables
Inspect PCV Valve, replace as necessary
Drain and refill automatic transmission fluid, change main sump filter.
Inspect front accessory drive belt, replace as necessary.
Great list...thanks much MADDOG!
Glad to help out! :D
The EGR valve gave me issues at about 125k i think on the same truck. From what i read quite a few other people too. That might be something to look into.
