Esp and traction control problem

Hi all,
my 10 ram sxt 4,7l is having some problems.... This morning when I started the truck, The ESp and Traction lights where up.... No assisteed stability and no traction control.... for a 4x2 right in a snowstorm.... nice!!!! Nerver had this problem before. Any of you have had this issue???

This happens when for whenever reason ice builds up on a sensor, or one fails. I have only seen ice build up one time. And the other time the wheel sensor failed me.

I agree with that ^^^^. Are you getting a lot of snow where you are? Were you out in it yesterday?

The dealer needs to check the codes in the ESP and ABS systems and then they can give you a more definitive answer.

Then he gets to drive to the dealer with no ABS or ESP? Woohoo!

I wonder if the codes came back after an ignition cycle.

if he has a garage he could park it in there in hopes its a ice issue but its rare as far as I know but warming the truck may correct the issue.

Its not bad driving without ESP/Traction control you just have to be cautious.

i agree with the second post, wheel sensor problem. take it to the dealer and they will change it at no cost. i had this problem last week.

It could be a sensor , but for a correct diagnosis it needs the code extracted .

The codes will remain stored even if the lights go off.
