Newbie from the Twin Cities
OK, so I just purchased my first Ram after 5 Silverado's. For the first 2500 miles I have to say I loved the truck. Unfortunately mile 2501 went sour with a blown transmission. After a week of having that rebuilt, during the test drive to make sure it was fixed. The engine started to knock. This was a couple days ago. Yesterday they were knee deep into the engine looking for problem. Told me it's going to be a few more days. Still waiting for todays update.

WOW! That's a lot to take on with a new truck. Hope they find the problems and get it fixed.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the Z. Sorry to hear that about your new Ram. Have to admit, I've been blessed with no problems with mine.

If you didn't get an extended warranty I highly recommend you do it. In fact the best one I've found is the Chrysler Maximum Care extended warranty. Some dealers don't sell it or don't want to sell it because they make more money off their corporate warranties. But the most of those are very limited in coverage and where you can have repairs done.

Here's a link to a post I did about the warranties you might find useful.

We have a lot of forums for all kinds of topics, so you shouldn't have any problems finding a place to post questions.

We LOVE pics of Rams.

Here's how to post them:
