HBS v. Daystar - 2.5" - Will post pictures showing the difference.

Gents,

I paid my dealership $525 to put in the Daystar 2.5" leveling kit. I am dissatisfied. They are putting the HBS 2.5" kit in tomorrow. I will post pictures of how they differ after the install.

For your information, I got the height details of the spacers from both companies.

HBS 2.5" Leveling Kit - Part # 125-200-001, is 1 3/8" tall.

Daystar 2.5" Leveling Kit - Part# KC09113BK, is 1 1/4" tall.

HBS reports that their 2" Leveling Kit is 1 1/4" tall, matching the Daystar 2.5" kit.

HBS also reports that with the 4th generation Ram, Dodge removed a plate from the strut which HBS includes with their leveling kit.

Anyway, I wanted to share the info. I'll post pictures comparing the two after the switch is done. Thanks.

The Daystar did not disqualify the rake like I wanted it to. It's more level; however, between the tire and the wheel well there was only about a 1" increase. The front increased just under 2" though.

So does a levelling kit raise both the front and the rear but just more on the front? I always assumed it just lifted the front in line with the rear. Looking forward to seeing the pics!

If you want to sit level with the rear, you can just get a front leveling kit. Some people like the extra clearance by lifting the rear, too.

The dealership is going to keep the Daystar kit. I dropped the truck of this morning. The service guy was a bit peeved that he had to do the switch. We'll see.
