The best one is the one you like the most, and for everyone it is going to be different. Seach around youtube and pick a sound that you like. Start with magnaflow 18", flowmaster 50, at3030xl

You might be able to do a Super 44 Flowmaster. I like the straight through design of Magnaflow, but some people like Flowmaster sound more. The Aero turbine is also a straight shot through and sounds good! AT3030 or 3030XL, the XL has a resonator built in for a little mellower sound. Also cruise the exhaust section....a lot of people have videos in there. Here is my thread on my 18" Magnaflow

I just went from a 14" Magnaflow SI/SO to a Flowmaster Super 50 Series SI/DO, and couldn't be more happy. I found that the Magnaflow produced a lot of interior resonance & a drone at HWY speeds. The Flowmaster killed about 75% of the drone & resonance in the cab, but still has a deep throaty rumble on the outside when you get on it. On another note, when the Magnaflow was installed, I noticed a loss in low end power (it flat out sreamed on the top end!!), but with the Flowmaster, it seems be better on the low end, and still pulls good at the top. No knock on Magnaflow, I loved the sound it made, it was just too loud for my personal taste. The Flowmaster is perfect for me, and I'd recommend it to anyone!

...oh yeah.... like 916Timmy said, start out with an 18" Magnaflow for sure if that's the sound you like. They also have a 22" & 24" as well. I believe the case length on my Flowmaster is 17". Remember, the bigger & longer the muffler case is, the quieter it will be :)

Well done! :)
Check this chart out to help you select, and I chose Magnaflow for the straight through design. FLowmaster does make moke backpressure which helps keep all the tq in tact, but it won't make any gains anywhere. Just sound, and not sure how true that is...I hear the 50 HD was made specifically for the Hemi motor.

The at3030xl is pretty quiet, but like they said youtube different brands and see what you like.. personally if its not setting off car alarms its too quiet lol

I personally do not like flowmasters or magnaflows like everyone else. I have an MBRP and thinks it sounds alot better than my friends flowmaster look up MBRP tones on you tube sound real mean. Besides that Ive also always been a big fan of thrush stuff had a thrush welded on my 4.7 Dakota and if your looking for just sound my Dakota sounded louder and meaner w/ just the muffler than alotta guys w/ cat back systems just my .02
