2010 OEM 1500 Chrome Nerf Bars Install
I was going to wait until I washed the truck, the snow melted, and it got above 35 degrees, but WTH :4-dontknow:

Laying on your back on the frozen concrete isn't too bad until you roll on the melting snow puddle, Brrrrrrr

Here's the rivnut tool that came with the nerf bars

And the rivnut mounted on the rivnut tool

I did identify the six holes for the rivnuts to go

And that's how it looks with the rivnut and tool in the hole

Hold the wrench on the bushing and tighten the bolt (always lubricate after every rivnut)

And that's how the rivnut looks after its compressed

Important to remember keep all mounting bolts loose until all 6 (on one side) have been threaded. (I also put anti-seize on the bolt threads)

Finished look on a filthy truck

Looks great! Good idea on the anti-seize.

Yeh, it sure is dirty. Pfft.

^^^^ hahah yea so dirty from the looks of it, it looks clean man! Anyways the truck looks great with those steps. The new Mopar ones are actually very good, and much better then the older ones. they are an actual step that help you get in the truck, not like the 3rd gen ones. Those ones were basically there or looks since it was pretty useless as a step haha

I wish who ever install the bars on my truck had used anti-seize....

any shot I can get the rivnuts separate? I have a set of OEM boards and a 2009 Ram truck that doesn't have the rivnuts installed. so the bolts have nothing to thread to.
68044460AA if anyone is looking and you need the rivnut anvil nut installer whatchamadoolit....
