exhaust ?

I have a few quick questions about what i will be doin to my exhaust in a couple weeks. right now it comes from the headers into the cat as 2 and out as 1 then goes straight all the way back and exites out the side at a 90.
I have a 2.5" inlit and outlit 29" long cherrybomb glass back, never used. im gana put a y pipe right infront of where the cat woulda been and put the o2 sensor in there by cuttung a hole in the y pipe where it comes out as 1 and then have it atached to the cherrybomb and put that in the place of the cat.
Now ?s. one will i getter better milage this way as long as i stay out if it because it flowing more freely. Two will this screw up the fuel to air mixture at all and make my truck run different or bad. And three is there anywhere to find a video to here how this would sound, i cant find any on youtube at all.

Any advice will help alot thank you

Let me see if i can be of assistance. I personally have it coming from the headers to a pipe where the cat is supposed to be (long story) then split out of the fake cat to duels with a cherry bomb on each then straight out of the back to two 22inch Tennessee tips, I have the o2 sensor mounted in the fake cat. My gas mileage went down a few with this addition because my o2 sensor doesn't read right because of how the pipes are (no cat) and no matter how you try you cant stay out of the gas.

So to answer your questions: it does flow better but burns more gas, and it will screw up your mixture, or at least it did mine. I hope this helped
