Cooper Discoverer HT and opinions??
Hi all. I'm looking for replacement tires for my stock 20" chrome clads because the 285/50s that were on it when I bought it seem on the verge of being too low profile for a 4X4 to me. Not terribly so, but I think I personally will like a slightly taller tire better. I think I'll go back with the stock 275/60.

I love the Cooper Zeon LTZs of course but they are going to end up costing me around $900 or better installed (unless I catch another buy 3 get 1 deal at Pep Boys). I'm considering the Cooper Discoverer HT Plus which I can get for $685. From what I've read they seem to be very well liked just like the Zeons. They are just more of a semi-aggressive street tire than the all-terrain hybrid Zeons but I kinda like that.

Anyone care to chime in with info on the Discoverers? Some pics would be great and some in the stock size on a Ram might just seal the deal for me. Thanks!

I see a lot of these tires on Rams and they do very well. They ride good, handle good, wear good and won't break the bank. One of my coworkers has them on his '07 Ram and swears by them. I'd gladly take a pic of them for you but he drove his car to work today.

It will probably be a few weeks before I buy anyway so if you could get a couple of pics I would really appreciate it. Maybe one of the whole truck and a close-up of the wheel. I think the Zeon's are a little sexier but they are a minimum of about $200 more so I'll probably go with the HT Plus. Thanks a bunch for your help!!

If he drives it to work anytime soon, I'll get you some pics. He lives 25 miles away and with gas prices going up, he's letting it sit in favor of his PT Cruiser and motorcycle right now.
