Powerless Doors

as mentioned in the power window thread on another forum I have no power to any of the controls in the front doors - well now there is power to to control the rear door windows and the remote key fob will open and close the door locks. I'm totally bewildered - will a 25A fuse work in place of the CB1 & CB2 circuit breakers (a person has no way of knowing if they are good or not by looking at them) DESPERATELY NEED HELP

Chances of the breakers being bad is about 1:1,000,000. If you want to confirm they are good either buy or find someone who has an ohmmeter. Disconnect your battery and measure across the terminals of each breaker. A good/untripped breaker will read near 0 ohms, a bad one will measure somewhere from 1 Million ohms to infinity. Looking at your location I understand that you might be a long way from a dealer, but replacing breakers with fuses on a new truck is generally a bad idea. If I understand the description of your problem, it sounds like nothing worked before and now some things work. If that's the case, I would check for a bad wire between the door and the chassis where it flexs when you open and close the door. The next place I would look is at the switch block itself.

Thanks for the info but after letting the dealer have it for a day it turned out to be a fuse after all - great thing was there was no charge

Good to hear. From you previous post I thought maybe you were +100 miles from the dealer.
