BT Catch Can Installation
I ordered a BT Catch Can and the braided lines. Can anyone give me the secret to installing the braided line on the PVC valve and the Throttle Body. The braided line fits the fittings on the catch can perfectly however the lines appear to be too small for the PVC and Throttle body. I've tried grease, putting the ends in boiling water, pushing, pulling, twisting ,cussing, bleeding, etc etc-----all with no luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

have you tried turning it around??? I dunno that is a good question though...maybe BT sent you the wrong lines?

Same size both ends.

If you want a before picture, go out and open the hood of your truck and if you don't have a catch can, that is the before picture. If I don't get this figured out it might also be the after picture. :4-dontknow:

I have a BT catch can with the normal rubber lines and let me tell you, it was a bitch to even get those on.

I never did get mine 100% on but it seems like 90% is good enough. Mind you, I had to eat Wheaties, spinach and drink about a dozen beer to push that sucker on that far. :4-dontknow:

I left the beer out. Maybe that is what my problem was???????? The hose fits perfect on the catch can but on the PVC and the throttle body---that's a different story. The hose seems like it needs to be smaller at one end and larger at the other?????????

I held my wife's hair dryer on it till I couldn't touch it, put a glove on and pushed it on to about 90% on. I also ran some very light grit sand paper over it first.

I've got a heat gun. Maybe I'll try that if I don't melt the hose?????????
