Front Diff. leak caused by the level kit?????
I noticed tonight that the front diff is leaking on the passenger side. The seal where the CV shaft enters the housing. I have warranty and was wondering if the level kit could be blamed for the leak?? Thought I'd ask before I call the shop!:4-dontknow:

A leveling kit would not change the pinion angle enough to cause premature failure.

I had the exact issue and my struts were shot ! I got them replaced under warranty about a month ago and they told me the leveling kit was not a factor !

Ya, you should have no worries with warranty, now I'm wondering about the passenger side CV though now that someone had the exact same issue on the same year Ram ? :4-dontknow:

Ya I do not think that would cause the damage your having. It does put the CVs on an angle but not enough to do that

I've got 17 thousand km on my Ram and already have had to do two of these axle fixes. I am really starting to wounder if it does have anything to do with the leveling kit i have installed, the dealler has not noticed i have it installed yet so i waven't had them try and say it's from that. Also my truck has a nasty shake under accelleration when in 4x4 if anybody here can give me any wisdom on what to do with these problems that would be appriciated the mecanics at the dealership are real idiots! Thanks

I also have had my passenger side front axle seal replaced under warranty and was told by the dealership that it was a known problem and that the manufacturer of the part was working on it. I was also recently told that putting a leveling lift on would void my drivetrain warranty because Dodge says it changes the front driveshaft angle. They say that any after market parts void warranty and are getting the dealerships to start sending pictures for warranty work. I had to put my stock intake back on to get the egr valve replaced under warranty.
