Union firefighters?

I seem to see a lot of IAFF stickers on peoples trucks here. I know we have great representation from our brothers and sisters in the volunteer ranks.

But how many of you here are union brothers?

I'll start it off:

Well, I was IAFF Local 91, Parkersburg, WV for 9 years. Was the Local President, but I left to accept employment at DuPont. I stay in regular contat with a lot of the guys. Financially it was a good move, but...I still miss the job.

Yes, my wife Sandy and I drove out to Colorado in 2005. It was November, and we had a gorgeous day, full of sunshine and warm temps. I had a chance to reflect as I looked at friends names, and got really torn up emotionally when I saw the wall for the brothers at the towers. It's a great setting for the memorial, in the shadow of Pikes Peak.
Again, thanks to you and your fellow local 5 members for looking after it for all of us in North America. You do a wonderful job.
