Electric Rad Fan

I know this topic has been covered many of times. However, there is a few things I would like to get opinions. When I did some searching, I have seen that the Mid 90's Taurus Fan and the Mark 8 fans are pretty popular. Although, I don't think one 16" fan is good enough. Simply because it doesn't really cover the whole radiator even though both fans have very good flow of air. I was thinking more like a 18" fan or a 16" and 14" fan instead of the Taurus or Mark 8 16" fan.

Anyone who has electric fans, I would like some feedback to how its working out and what kind of mileage you are seeing. If kind enough, post some pictures on your setup and installation.

Much appreciated!

My Mark VIII is a 18" and is very close in covering the whole radiator. Heard that the cfm between 5000-5500cfm. I dont know how true that is but i do not that on the low setting it flows well and flows hard. Just got to take your time to adjust it to work with whatever t-stat you have.

Well, I got the factory rated t-stat in (195). I'm particularly using it as a work truck and I tow occasionally. Then we get the time to time jams because of closures on the highway and traffic gets really jammed up. I just want to keep the truck alot cooler while sitting in traffic. Even though the clutch fan is good but at times I just need that extra horse to kick in.

I dont tow but i recently hauled 455lbs of dog food and idling in traffic it would turn on just shortly before hiting halfway and would come down fast soon after.

I have only had it for a week so its not really much of a feedback to provide but so far i am very happy and its a mod i had to do (shroudless) since i am going need to extra space with the rest of my "Hemi Orange Engine Dress Up" mods going in.

The install looks really good, nice job man. Are Mark 8 fans all 18"?

Thanks - Love the intake buts its time to move on so its coming out next weekend.

OEM clutch fans are easily available and cheap if yours is going out but i would def' go with a good cfm flowing e-fan as a nice upgrade replacement.

I would still get a clutch replacement fan though just in case your E-Fan/Controller fails at some point.

I've seen plently of Mark 8 fans go on eBay. Have you tried that yet?
