lift question

I plan to fab my own lift blocks. does anyone know the ratio of inches to actual lift in the front end if adding spacer to struts? How high can i go this way before causing problems? was planning on going 3" front and 1.5" rear but wouldn't mind going higher. Any feedback is much appreciated!

I used strut spacers on my 06 1500 quad cab. The rings were 1" thick and pre-stressed the strut for about 2" of lift. If I were going to go higher than that, I think I'd go with a different lift method to avoid front end trouble. Good luck.
