Spare tire stolen?

Hey guys, I was working on my truck today and noticed that I don't have a spare tire! I've had the truck about 5 weeks, and sure, someone could have stolen the spare in that time. I'm hoping someone could tell from this picture if it looks tampered with? I would think that if someone had stolen the tire they wouldn't take the time to wind the harness back up. It seems hard to believe it would have come from the dealer this way but who knows?

Sorry for the grainy picture.

I just know you're joking....right.....right? No? well, that's just low-down and dirty right there...at least the theives could have put a post it note on your windshield notifying you about your tire donation...that way you coulda replaced it. Good thing you weren't on the side of the interstate with a blowout when you found out. That just sucks ass.

Oh, and btw, I don't see a pic...might just be my puter though.

yeh im with ya on that one!did u see it when u bought the truck or is this your first visit under there?dont see any thieves putting it back neatly like that.maybe the quick lube place where you change the oil.or if you live near roswell coul be aliens needing a spare, definitely give mystery inc a call ;)

This was my first visit under the truck, which doesn't even have 1000 miles on it yet. The only time it's been in a shop was at my local dealer to have the Mopar fog lights installed.

Looks like a possible Q/A issue from the factory, I too have a hard belivin that thieves would take the time to wind up the cable. Def talk with your dealer.

Can you see any signs in the brackets paint to suggest a tire was ever there?

My dad had the spare tire stolen on his old GMC truck. It wound down and whoever took it cut the braided steel cable that held it up. Its definitly a bit of a suprise when you look underneath and its gone

Better you find out now and not when ya need it. Still sucks though time for a locking spare I guess
