Ram Build
Hey everyone, so I've finally gotten this build kicked off after a few speed bumps along the way and issues with money but its starting to move. Just figured I'd create a thread to kinda document the whole thing from start to finish and let the pic whores have a treat. so with out further wait here she is before anything, bone stock from the dealership.

This was the first thing to come in the mail... I'm pretty sure you can sorta figure it out :thk:

Next up was to take back the skyjacker shocks to 4wheelparts because they weren't what i had ordered haha. Was supposed to be sent some pro comps so after i got that all sorted out the work could really start

getting those coil springs out and then back in with those spacers in there was a task to say the least not to mention the fact that the truck wasnt sitting right so back out they had to come to tweak them a little bit:doh:

The final result was this...

Now that the task of leveling the truck out was finally out of the way I had to turn my attention to the interior. The maroone dodge dealership in all its glory decided to sell me a truck with not one, not two, but three blown out speakers off the lot and then decide to tell me that it wasnt their fault, I probably did it...
ok no problem that just gives me a reason to pull the door panels off and buy some new stuff

after doing some shopping around and knowing i didnt want to go crazy with the sound system just some nice replacements i settled on some PowerBass 6x9's in the front and the stock size 5 and a quarter in the rear. unfortunately i did this job by myself and no pictures were taken...yes fail on my part but heres the system i decided to go with at least
not hard at all to install if you have any basic knowledge of simple wiring and can use a screw driver your golden. Had to drill a new hole in the rear doors because of the way the speakers where set up, no big deal there. They sound great and an obvious big improvement over my spectacular blown factories

Next it was time to give the gas guzzler a little more air and hopefully help out the mpg's and its hp. I shopped around a lot for an intake and had a rough time really settling on what i wanted. I saw Maddogs build thread and after talking to him briefly about it i was sold on the AFE stage one kit. Thank you for the info and help Maddog :rep:

install was a breeze, just a flat head screw driver to loosen the hose off the intake box, a few clips that pop open and off came the stock box and out came the stock filter. From there all you have to do is connect the new intake filter to the metal box provided by Afe, re-attach the breather hose and the intake tube and your good to go:smileup:

shes got a long way to go, researching chips now i've already got my heart set on a exhaust system and a rim and tire combo as well as a body lift. I have some more research to do on HIDs and chips and a few other mods like a lsd but shes coming along

All of those sound awesome! I'd go with exhaust next. It really makes you enjoy the truck more :D
