LMI Carbon Fiber Hammer Design

Took about a week from the order to being delivered. Awesome!!!.

This mod was put in to compliment my other mods in this project to make the engine bay a little more cleaner while giving it a nice custom look.

Must say that this CAI is a definite improvement over my old one visually and sounding. First it weighs next to nothing but with the brackets provided it is very stable.

Compared to my old intake this is a piece of eye candy. Old setup i was afraid to even open the hood to show its heart but now i am actually looking to check out some local Show and Shine and parking it there...with the hood up LOL.

Lastly i was standing in front of it with hood open while a fellow member was giving some good idle revs and sounded like it was just pulling the air in and maybe myself LOL. Okay maybe not the last part.

I have only driven it once and that was during deep fog and rain conditions so i was feathering it all the way so cant say much of the performance aspect.

Downside is that i wish and maybe he will start making them for the Ram Market as he would def own it or at least be on par with some of the other big names at the moment.

Also don't think i will be able to walk in Auto zone and order a filter replacement. This sucker of a filter is HUGE.

Anyway i big thumbs up to LMI (LegMakerIntakes) and their customer service.

Also big props to 03ramit1 and motorscooter.

Sorry. I was kind of hoping to finish dressing up the bay and give it a nice detail before posting but here are some.

Before Pictures that started my inspiration to give her a nice deserving make over.

Remember its got quite a few items going to finish the look i am going for. Make it SLT-8 worthy :)

This might have been asked before but how hard was that 6.1 intake conversion and is it really worth it?

jpaul51 04-12-2011 02:09 AM

Wow that is slick! Engine swap or did you change manifold and throttle body?

TheSatinPumpkin 04-12-2011 09:58 AM

Depends on what your goals or plans are. Got the complete manifold conversion setup at a great price and again my plan was to really give the engine a make over. So visually it is worth it. Also nice if i plan to boost in the future and it already has a direct port for Nitrous.

I too would like to clean up the engine bay on my truck and that looks very clean. I am running nitrous already so that would be helpful too. Just wasnt sure how costly it is or how much work goes into doing it ie what else do you have to do or change to get it to work
