1997 cummins fuel leak
 
have a fuel leak seems to coming from top of tank, anybody had a problem like this I am looking for advice Ole

I had this issue happen to me last week. I have 97 as well. The issue I had was that the stock sending unit coming up from the tank (feed and return lines) was rusted really bad and it was leaking fuel. I let it go until the truck started to lose its prime, this only took about one week.

I pulled the unit out of the tank and replaced the feed/return lines with a drawstraw. Drove the truck 250+ miles this weekend and no issues. Also, I replaced the stock steel fuel lines since I had the bed off. Mine looked pretty bad, but being from Indiana I didn't expect much. Hope this helps.
