FYI- Weather Tech Crew cab Rear Vent Visor Install

Just finished---finally , installing the rear crew cab window vent visors from Weather Tech!!! No Thanks to "Weather Tech" on their simple no nonsense 15 step paper pictured "instructions". NEVER did mention that the rear install needed to be between the window frame , & the rubber , in order to WORK !!--While everything else that they advertise says it's a simple window channel install.----Just NOT So for the rear, of a 2011 Ram Crew!!!

I am happy with them( the visors look good), but be advised about the rear !

Hope someone @ Weather Tech reads this , maybe in future get the right instructions out to people .----Good possibility to NOT get a few of your Rear visors returned to you as defective !!!!!!!
---------------- as mine were going to be !!!!

For what they charge for those, one would think they would include vehicle and model specific instructions with pics. Thats why I bought the AVS in-channel model.

Has anyone had a problem with the visors, since it is in the channel that the window also goes into?I would think it would get pretty tight in there........

Hemi flash 04-27-2011 01:57 PM

Yes it is kind of tight , so far i've noticed that when opening the front wdws.(power windows) , you can hear the glass scrapping the plastic until it's away from it . Am thinking of putting some silicone oil on the glass edges. ---otherwise no issues - so far.
