Rear Axle Recall?

Hey guys, I took my truck in for an oil change today at my local Dodge dealer and they told me that something about the rear axle on my truck had been recalled. Something to do with fuel drainage..that's all I can remember from what they told me. Sorry I can't give y'all more details, but I'm wondering if y'all can help me out. Anyone else get their's recalled? Is it Ram R/T specific? What exactly is the problem? Thanks guys!

I'm not entirely sure but I think I read somewhere that it involves putting a new diff cover on to hold more oil or something like that, but I could be wrong.

Chrysler will install a pinion bearing fluid drain-back flow restrictor and a new axle cover with revised fluid fill level access hole. Will take about 1.5 hours.

I just got my recall in the mail.

I called for an appointment and they are having to order the parts. :4-dontknow: Seems to me they would send the dealers some parts when the recall notice went out so they could be ready.

to bad that they don't put a drain hole in the cover too, it would sure come in handy, especially with a magnetic drain plug

I read that the dealers received the covers from the suppliers, but they didn't get the RTV sealant with it. They are only getting something like 2 covers a month per dealership, not many considering Potential Number Of Units Affected : 60382
one of the members had an axle break due to this problem, luckily he was going slow, just leaving a parking lot
Manufacturer Campaign Number: K36 , if your curious about it

(reminds me of the bolt fiasco for the 2009 models, that i never received through the factory, it was to be a fix for some of the Hemi Tick issues, the dealers were only getting 2 kits a month back then too )
