What Mileage on the 4.7L

What kind of gas mileage are you guys seeing with the 4.7L engine?

Anybody own the ST - if so, how do you like it?

after doing alot of reading and seeing allot of under 10mpg with the hemi and small trailers I went with the 4.7 SLT around town i see about 14 - 16 depending on if its me or I let the wife take drive the kids to sports. I get 16 and thats the funny part. And on the highway i got 17 towing a 2300 lb trailer + all our cloths and crap for a week trip to the beach in the back.

im getting 8L / 100km highway and 15L /100km in city. I know its a different system of measurement but that aint bad in anyone's books

I had an '05 RAM quad with a 4.7 and usually got 14.7 around town. Towing car trailer loaded was a struggle and mileage went down to around 10. Doesn't seem like the Dodge Boys made much improvement in six years.
My '08 HEMI gets better mileage in town, highway, and towing the same trailer and car then the 4.7.

my dad had an '05 when he passed away (Aug '05)...was driving it around when I was home for the funeral...I don't know what gears he had, but it was a QC, 4wd SLT I think...highway speeds mpg was sitting at like 12 if I remember right

I've only driven mine in the city and the best i've gotten is about 12.5 mpg.

i had an 05 qc 4.7 tonneau cover 4 people with luggage 20 mpg empty 2 bike trailer 11 mpg loaded 5400 travel trailer 10 mpg it seems to depend on the frontal wind resistance that seems to be the biggest factor

I am getting about 16 in town and a little over 18 on the hwy.

I am averaging around 10mpg in the city. haven't had it out on any long trips on the highway yet. Someone told me that having a toolbox in the bed of the truck would lower my gas mileage, anyone know if that is true?

I'm getting 9.5-10mpg in mine all the time. I am not that lead footed, nor do I drive like a grandpa, but this is just ridiculous. I just want to know what the heck to do to change this. I've tried the tow/haul button, overdrive on or off, and lots of different pedal techniques to stay in the "ECO" mode and NOTHING seems to work for me. What the heck should I do?
