2001 Dodge Ram Air Conditioning
My heater core went out this past winter so I had to replace it. When I checked everything after changing it, both the air conditioning and heater worked as advertised. But it was cold out.
However, now that the weather is getting warmer, my air conditioner does not blow cold air. It's as though the heater is constantly on when the air conditioning is turned on, no matter what the temperature or controls are set at. It always blows HOT air. It does not get any cooler even when the temp controller is turned down. I replaced the A/C control on the console and that didn't help.
I serviced the refridgerant and the condensor and lines get cold, but still........no cold air coming through the vents.
I checked fuses and I can hear the compressor clutch kick on and off.
Could it be possible that I did not reconnect something (connector/wiring) when I put everything back together under the dash? Any suggestions? Thanks ahead for any help I may get.
Did you replace the core yourself? Sounds to me like one of the little doors that switch between heat and air inside the air plenum were knocked off track.
