Stock tires

Anybody know if I request a tire swap from the stock goodyear wrangler a/t's to the wrangler dura-tracs if the dealer might swap them for the price difference? Or do you think I'll have to eat the cost of four new tires? I know what I would think. but I might be suprised:SHOCKED:

They might do it, before you take delivery, if they have some on a truck in inventory. Don't expect them to go out and buy them for a swap. They won't do that.

Didn't think so. however they do sell Goodyears there and I figured if they had them there they might work something. Not holding my breath though. Might just have to cough it up. Really don't care for the straight wrangler a/t's. I had some pro comp x-terrains on my old F-150. Liked them, but they wore out really fast. I would like a somewhat aggressive tire, that will handle it all including snow, but I want them to last also. If I lived back in Vt. again I'd go get me some Nokian Hakkapalita's for the winter. Can't find 'em down here. Nobody has even heard of them here. They are in my opinion the best winter tires available. They don't do so bad off-road either. They are pretty soft though. Hence winter tires.(And Studdable if needed.) Though I don't know the laws regarding that down here, and really not necessary to stud them in TN. In the Northern sector of the country they are great! I did spend a year out in Washington state and I was pretty sure studs were not allowed in the N.W.? just chains. I'm rambeling about the old days! Sorry! Anyway Back on Track... Suggestions on good all around A/T tires that have a good life span?

By the way, sorry about posting this on the wrong thread! LOL. DAMN NEWBIE!

LOL....damn noobs....geez...

I have Toyo's on my truck. The A/T's and I like them. You know how wet it gets here in the PNW! I've run Toyos on 4 of my trucks and 2 cars. I really like how they perform and last.

I've seen the Nokian tires but haven't tried them so I can't say how they are.

Yes, we can run studs here until April 30th of each year.

Huh! I was mistaken. Or maybe that was just WA. Thanks for the input, I'll give the Toyo's a looksee. The nokians are great, but only last a couple of winter seasons. If you run 'em all year, probably get 25-30,000 miles out of them. Maybe a little more but not much. That's why I would take them off after winter. I remember the deep slush was the main issue. 3' dump then quick melt off= Danger!
