pinion bearings to change

Has anyone changed the pinion bearings on the rear dif of a 2002 2500 5.9 L gas; LT Dana 60 4:10 rear end? I'd like any advice/tips/special tools if you have. The reason I lifted up was due to major leak out pinion seal of rear dif. I have it up on jacks now and I found a bit of play up/down on the driveshaft. My 'theory' is that the seal failed because the hole oblonged due to the bearing failure of the pinion gear. I have been hearing a grinding noise in the rear end for some time now. I have the rear plate pulled, cleaned off all oil from gears and have inspected. I have the tranny in N and have hand rotated the gears to inspect all. All of the gears look fine. No obvious teeth missing/broken, etc. Any advice is welcome. Thanx in advance!!!
