What size tires for 97 dodge ram 1500 4x4

What are the largest size tires I can go on my stock 1997 Dodge Ram 4x4?

I'm thinking of putting 285/75R16's on it. Can I pull this off without any rubbing on turns?

Thanks in Advance

Tires

Yes you can I have an 01 with 17x10 wheels with 295 70 17 and they barely scrubbed so I bought a leveling kit for 60 bucks. You shoud be fine. If it does scrub it will not be much at all

I just noticed I posted this in the incorrect Gen forum, for that I apologize....

Thanks for the reply... I may go that route also with the 295's

i had 315-75-16's on my 98 4x4 factory, just had a thin wheel spacer and only rubbing issue i hadwas on the front link bars. i found out that if the steerin wheel was completely upside dwn, it wouldnt rub t all. theres not that much more turning radius between the wheel being upside down and fully locked.

Moved this to Dodge Ram Tires and Wheels.

I think you can go a bit wider but a 75 aspect ratio tire is gonna be a close fit.

close fit, yes...but they did fit. with a stock rim they would only rub at full lock. put a set of 16x8 rims on there and kept the thin spacer and now have no rub.
