Pinstripe removal???

Just wanted some opinions on my truck. It has a black pinstripe from the front all the way to the back and was contemplating immediate removal!!!! I have a spot on the bed that is starting to come up...so it should be pretty easy!!!

Yes or No???

should be easy i did this for my truck and it looks amazing now

if you dont already know how to go about removing the pinstripe follow these instructions

1. get a hair dryer
2. heat up small portions of the pinstripe
3. use a plastic scraper and scrape it off.
if you have stubborn old pinstripes like i did.
you can get a dish sponge with a scrubber side and get a bowl of warm soapy water and scrub the stripe off. and after its all scrubbed off there will be scuffs in the clear coat of the paint and you can get some compound and buff that out.

Yeah it'll come up easily. Don't forget pictures when you're done!

3m makes a product called a pin stripe remover or a sticker eraser. its bassically a big round eraser that you can put into a drill or air tool. you can cut the time of removing the stripe by about 3/4. if you go this route. make sure you KEEP THE DRILL MOVING! if you hold the drill in one spot for too long youll burn the paint. good luck!

TRUE ^^^ The pinstripe removal wheel also works on any other sticky items....dealership logos/advertisement, residue from de-badging, etc. I have NEVER liked pin stripping from the dealer...it RARELY looks good, and they charge $100 for $10 pinstripes and 30 minutes (or less) time. A total rip-off if ya ask me. Luckily, mine didn't have any . Thank You Patterson Dodge!

Yeah heat it up a bit, and use the wheel after. Careful when using the wheel to not burn (eat up) the paint clear coat.
