Who supplied OEM trailer hitches to Dodge in 1996?

My truck came with a nice trailer hitch installed at the factory. Hitch is very heavy duty and well made. I purchased my truck used and since it's 16 years old all the warning stickers have fallen off the hitch. It has a 7 pin connector for trailers. The mounting box is rusting through on all but two sides for the connector, and connector is damaged. I'm wondering who suppled Dodge with the OEM hitches for the 1996 model year so I can order parts etc for the hitch. I know after market things will fit because the hitch is standardized with respect to the industry.

Welcome to the RamforumZ

you can look at this website & see if any of them look like yours, but they are all good brands. Get at least a Class 3 receiver, i prefer the heavier Class 4, your 2500 may have come with a CLASS 5

Probably Reese but it's hard to track their sub suppliers.

Can it be fixed and still meet the class requirements? Maybe you should just get a replacement Class III or Class IV.
