Exhaust Help

So I have a Ram 2500 with the 488 V10. Now Im looking to put a flowmaster on the truck but want recommendations with which one to go with. I want it to sound good but dont want it to be annoyingly loud. I was considering the 50 series. And yes I know with the V10 it will sound off when compared to how a V8 sounds but still want to do it anyway, the other question I have is does anyone know what to do with the air tubes that run into the cats if I were to say cut my cats off, Ive heard of some guys running them back into the exhaust pipe it self but heard that may cause back firing issues, so anyone know of any better ways to handle that? Thanks in advance.

Can you get away without Cats in IL ? I thought they were mandatory. :4-dontknow:

yes you can get away with it, just depends on if you live in a county that mandates emissions testing, which really the only 2 counties are Cook and Sangamon. The only thing Illinois state law says about catalytic convertors is that its illegal to have a mechanic take them off of a vehicle that came with them from the factory, and thats it. But my exhaust guy I go to recommended I just take mine off because Ive got a cat thats rattling and he doesnt wanna see me spend money that I dont have to, to get it replaced. But hes the one that brought up the air tube back firing issue, and also thought my truck would be too loud with a 50 series, was just looking for some one elses opinion as well.
