07 ram 4.7 exhaust ?s
just bought a ram and i want to change up the exhaust, anyone have some feedback on exhaust they have on there 4.7? im thinking about doing a 3'' in 3'' out race bullet either from dynomax or borla to a chrome rbp tip. feedback and suggestions would be great.

There is a video on youtube with the Dynomax Race Bullet on an '08 4.7L, and it sounds really nice! I've run Magnaflow on my truck, and it sounded pretty good too, but it droned a lot in the cab. I've got a Flowmaster Super 50 SI.DO straight out the back on there now, with almost no drone in the cab. It also has a nice deep, mellow, throaty tone that's hard to beat. One of the best sounds I'm hearing lately is the Aero AT3030 muffler...... that's a mean sun of a gun there :)

thanks man i will look into that, anything else you plan on doing to your ram?

Hi and a warm Carolina welcome to the best RAM ForumZ on the web. How about using the link in my SIG to jump over to the Newbie Checkin to introduce yourself and posting a few photos of your truck?

I had the FlowMastrr on my '06 with the 4.7 and loved the deep throaty sound.

maybe i will go with flowmaster, they have allways sounded good ive had flowmaster and magnaflow never had any complaints i just heard that flowmaster wasnt a very good muffler from several shops but who knows..

Flowmasters I have had rusted pretty quickly. The Magnaflows I've had haven't.

Careful going too large with pipe sizes. If you use the stock pipe in and out of the muffler that will work but going to 3" all the way will probably hurt your low end torque.

is the stock size not a 3'' inlet ?

marshallsmith44 05-26-2011 07:45 PM

?? i hope i didnt order the wrong size im getting a 3'' in 3'' out

No, that will be good. I suspect your pipes are 2.5 or 2.75" and I'd leave them alone. A couple of reducers will work just fine to put the muffler on the stock pipes.

alright thanks, the only way it would hurt performance would be to change all the pipe with 3''?
