22" Magnaflow with factory resonators

I have the choice on Thursday morning to install a 22 or an 18 on my truck. Just the muffler change out. Originally I was going to go with the 22, but I heard that with the factory resonators on, there would be barely any noticeable difference in the sound or tone of the exhaust from stock. Now I'm thinking of going with the 18, but I really don't want a lot of noise in the cab. I had a knockoff on my previous truck and it was a little too loud for me. What's your opinions/experiences.
Thanks,
Dave

I did the full Magnaflow exhaust. Installed in my drive way. No drone at all and sounds great. Black hemi ram has some sound clips on it. 22 inch muffler no resonators.

i think i would prolly go with the 18 inch

Don't do the 22

Thanks for the replies guys. I am going with the 18, I don't want it to sound like stock for sure. Tomorrow at 8. Did the K&N drop in last night.

I would even consider the 14, I have it and love it!

Well, did the 18" this morning. Love the sound now, I'm glad I didn't choose the 22", it would definitely been too close to stock. There is no drone at all in the cab.
The biggest surprise was the increase in the low end torque  A huge difference. I always thought that the truck was sluggish off the line, but now it's right there. I'm really happy.
Thanks to all for their replies.

Just had the full 16869 with Y welded in (22" without resonators) installed and it sounds great. Big difference from stock without being obnoxious.

Can you shoot a video? I would love to hear how the 22" sounds with a Y-pipe mod and no resonators! I have the Y-pipe done with an 18" mag w/ resos.
