Military incentives for new Rams

Hey all-
Dodge was giving a $500 incentive if you are retired, active, reserve or up to 6 months after your ETS on new Ram trucks. It wasn't something my dealer told me when I bought my truck in May, I had to ask if there were any more incentives, and he replied only if you are military. I responded I was retired, and he said I qualified for an additional $500 cash back. I don't know how long this will last (if it even made it to June) but it is definately worth asking about if you are in the market for a new Ram and you fall within their guidelines. Just thought I would throw out that info if anyone is in the market. It actually helped another guy in town here who the sales rep knew was retired military and saved him another 500. Glad I brought it up and happy I helped a VET!

IF you have USAA insurance, i heard that you can get a Ram for just above invoice

if your a railroad employee you MAY also be eligible for a similar discount
Federal, State, County, & Municipal employees also can get vehicles for 2 or 3 % above base invoice

Yeah, I am a Vet, and I am still active duty.

I have nearly $20,000 equity in my ram. I Owe nothing.

I still cant afford the brand new one like I want, even with $20k down, according to the payment calculator that would put me at $500 a month. 0% for 60 months.

Ouch.

I know most dealers are willing to give a military discount, it just depends on how much they paid for it (and what state you're in). I got my '02 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab with about 116,000 miles and I only paid $6,300. The original price was about $8,000 and they took $500 for a military discount.

Nice info, thanks Dave. We have utilized our military and fire fighter discounts as well.
