Ram 1500 broken leaf

Hey everyone, I hope someone can help me with this problem...... Ok so I have a 03 Ram QC 1500. Today I hit a pot hole I'm guessing on the way to work, and started to hear a clanking sound with every other little bump I took. At first I thought it was my exhaust or something, but after crawling under her I notice that one of the leaves on the left cracked. Ok since I'm kinda on a budget for while I called this place around me that just deal in junk pick ups... They said they can get me a used one for about $100 each since its used ima just do one, BUT I wouldnt mind buying 2 if there were from a 2500. That's my question can I do leafs off a 2500 on my truck.... Like I said I'm on a budget so no I cant afford to buy a Ram 2500 lol or do air or any other remedies I've heard on the forum..... Please help

I have done some research on this as I was looking to replace the springs on my truck with the leafs off of a 2500, and the only thing I found to be different is it appears the 2500 leafs are like 1.5" shorter, don't remember exactly how much. So the question that comes to mind to be able to answer you is are you planning on replacing the leafs on both sides or are you planning to crack the broken side and replace the broken part?

The 2500 leaf spring package is shorter than your stock package so you'd have to fab up some mounts, make sure the rear diff is centered correctly, etc...

I'd go with the replacement 1500 sets.

Well if you do a google search you will find you pickup these leaf springs for $35. and up from various salvage yards. You would need to check on shipping costs though.
