1500 4.7 Tune Up 50k miles
I bought my first ram a month ago and it's about to have 50,000 miles on it. I know the previous owner and he took good care of the truck from what i know.
Is there anything besides a tune up I should do? Also, do liquid fuel injector cleaners work? (the ones you pour into your gas tank)
Thanks! btw, here's a pic of my new ram XD
4x4 or not? If its running good, just change the trans fluid/oil and call it a day. I would change the coolant at 60k, along with the Diff and transfer case fluid (if its a 4x4, if its not, just the rear diff).
^^good advice. As far as the fuel injector cleaners, there are a million products out there, seafoam is a reputable product that is good for this, most people like the product. Just pour it in your tank at the gas pump then fill up, it'll keep your fuel system clean. You don't need to do this often, I do it about every 50k miles. I also pour a couple ounces of marvels mystery oil in when I fill up every couple tanks to help lubricate. You can also put seafoam in your oil to keep the engine clean. What I do is every 50k miles or so, about 250 miles before I'm going to change the oil, I put a little seafoam in the oil and run it, then change it, that way any gunk you loosen up will be drained out right away.... Nice looking truck BTW!
