anyone know much about Quad's
i picked up a quad this past weekend and heres all i realy know on it...
roketa 250 2wd utility quad
what i dont know
when we were there he said the starter switch was broken so he had to by pass that and go straight to the starter and kinda jump start it ... i thought that was going to be a reasonably cheap fix and then i figured out the kill switch was broken internaly so i just want to replace that whole unit... will any start/kill switch work from a quad or no...
also it didnt want to idle he had it sitting for a year so i figure the carb needs cleaned out or replaced which i figure thats probly a cheap fix...
it would go into reverse and had to get tinkered with to get into drive... i figure the shift linkage is just off and needs adjusted...
the oil read fine on the dipstick and looks asthough the trans is bolted straight to the engine where oil will flow beween both like a bike... but theres a site glass in the trans thats higher than the dipstick whats that for...
also what is the value of these quads...
i heard they went from one name to roketa in like 03 so im guessing it to be like a 04-newer...
does anyone know anything about these quads any help would be apriciated...
Good luck with the quad! I've never messed with 'em.
Roketa is the name of the manufacturer. There pretty much a chinese knock off ATV.
Heres a link to the owners manual and wiring diagram for the quad I think you have: http://www.roketa.com/product/produc...D=0&proID=2524
Some of the specs on this page here:
Luckily they sell these to dealers from their website so they have almost all of the build diagrams and other things on there
idk if thats the same year or not... i have square headlights and 2 tail lights 1on each rear fender.. my handal bars look diffrent and i have no speedo (could have not worked and they just tossed it who knows)
THANKS FOR THE LINKS!!!! that will be much apricciated when i need to buy parts... would they be interchangeable through the years ya think
