Your bank and your credit cards/ loans will give you a lower APR while on Orders So you will need to get the credit letter to your loan companies as soon as you get orders. Your will life insurance will be done at mob site. As far as yopur wife goes spend lots of time with her.Set things up now so she will not have to worry about things. Like service contract for appliances ect. If you have personal question just PM me. You will have more questions and concerns as time draws near I will help with what I can..

service contract for appliances?? we rent so dont have to worry bout fridge and all that and she might move in with her grandfather while im over there so we can save a ass ton of money but it sounds like for the most part everything is prety well straight forward... and i didnt know about the lower APR thanks

just find a crusty Sgt and stick with him....the deployments/seperation gets easier

SPC.Brinkmeyer 06-20-2011 11:12 AM

ive got a awesome group of cats in my unit i live in IN and drive like 2.5-3hrs just to get to my unit for drill because i dont want to leave...

im a 91B (wheeled vehicle mechanic) and were supposed to stay in the FOB the whole time they said we might leave a couple times but thats bout it they have another unit for the gunbunnys and drivers and so on...

thats the only thing im worried bout is the sepperation

11HEM1 06-20-2011 11:35 AM

Hey Im not crusty lol
The seperations are tough but Skype will make that easier
As far as the lower APR its on all loans prior to your orders and you can get it from your S1 or go here for an example of the letter you will need to send to the creditors

As far as you leaving the FOB If a vehicle breaks down someone will need to get it back to the FOB, If your unit does the recoveries then you will have a recovery team. Which might include security vechiles as well

SPC.Brinkmeyer 06-20-2011 11:59 AM

the other unit is supposed to take care of the security and we have a small recovery team already and im not in it

Thats good then just remember things change all the time in the military but if you dont go out of the wire you should be good
