Melbourne FL July 4th show
I help shoot this show for Zambelli, just wanted to share some video/pics....I came across these on youtube they are not mine, but are of our show from past years. Will post pics and videos of last nights show tonight after work since I didn't get them uploaded last night(didn't get home till middle of the night). I wish I could do this everyday :)
2010 we almost got rained out, had alot of duds from the water(stormed all through the afternoon and evening, and we shot during a drizzle too) and we were all running around in about 2-4" of water the whole time, flares wouldn't light, etc....it was the worste of the shows we've had since I've been doing it, there were alot of gaps, but at least it wasn't rained out and we were able to put on a show...2011 was a great one, will post later.
Those are pretty awesome! Been a lot of years since I've seen the fireworks in Melbourne, used to live there when I was younger, thanks for posting those and yeah, definitely want to see this year's show!
I guess we're not doing our job if we don't set a fire...
Here's a cool shot:
Pictures are a group shot(my wife and I on the left), then me at the point of the park, then a great one of us firing...
Quality isn't that great, sorry, everything was on a cell phone :4-dontknow:
Hope you enjoy!
Where about were you in Melbourne, Cajun? It's a really nice area there, it sure has grown in the past 10 years. I remember when we moved down there it was rated like one of the top ten places to live or something... The festivities have been dying off year by year, it's sort of sad, they used to have all day events at front street park and it would be packed with people by 1 or 2 in the afternoon, with music playing all day. Now there's almost no vendors, no party, and people don't start showing up until evening...I guess this is all due to economy :(
Used to live on Cindy Circle, right on Lake Lisa. It was an awesome place to live, especially being so close to the beach! Hated having to leave and I probably wouldn't recognize it now, but I left in '89, so it's been quite a while lol. On the 4th, we would either take my dad's truck and park right by the Eau Gallie causeway and set up, used to be people everywhere, or we'd just take the boat out. Those were some good days!
Two weeks away from this years show! I can't wait!
