Gas mileage

Well guys and gals I have not posted anything about gas mileage on my 09 Ram till I thought I had enough information. I hauled my 23ft camper from South Carolina last month via I81 through the mountains showing no mercy with 65 to 70 mph. The truck performed wonderfully. The first tankful was in tow/haul mode which netted me 10mpg. Without tow/haul and watching the tach and feathering the throttle a bit the rest of the way up it increased to 12mpg. Without the camper and setting the cruise at 68mph has given 20.7. I guess if you are gonna use those horses under the hood ya gotta expect to pay for it:thk: The reality is that it gets better mileage than my old GMC 350. Still lovin this RAM

I wish I could claim that good. Pulling a 17 ft. aluminum boat or a 12 ft. single axle trailer with 2 4x4s I do good to get about 11.5. Pulling nothing and at freeway speeds I might get 14. I don't know what to do about it.

Get a Caliber my daughter is enjoying over 40 mpg in her brand new one she ordered with stick. For a small car its getting a bad rap the seats are themost comfortable and the reclining rear seats are nice and even tons of leg room. Really a comfortable car. Nice tunes too, she got the speaker upgrade with the sub and the rear tailgate speakers. Black with dark tinted windows it actually looks good.

That's not terrible mileage considering the load.

It's all about the SPEED gents... Moved from Dallas to CA.

Got said 10mpg from Dallas to Phoenix with a 5x8 UHaul trailer @ 65-70mph.

Stayed in Pho a while... Left for Sacramento, CA law says 55 so I kept it there, and got 15.8mpg..!!! Huge difference. Same load.

I have a 2009 Ram with 45,000 miles and I'm able to average 18.2 miles per gallon. As of a couple months ago I was only averaging 16.8. I reset the trip each month and see what happens. Same type of driving in the same areas. The only thing I did was added a bottle of injector cleaner to the tank this month and now the truck seems to run better and MDS is kicking in more.

What injector cleaner did you use?

Gas mileage

Just ran over 600 km through Alberta. Trip down running empty was over 19 MPG with the MDS hardly turning on and running about 1700 RPM at 110 KM/H. On the return 300 KM with a box full of IKEA boxes and two coolers of meat the mileage only dropped to 18.5. This is far better than my old chev with a 305.
