Ford Raptor Frames Bending while Off Roading!

If you haven't seen this, you need to! A bunch of Ford Raptor owners on our sister site www.RaptorForumZ.com went on a group ride and "more than one" of them suffered the same frame damage. :wow:

Check it out!

Ford Raptor Frames Bending - Bed Alignment issue!

Wow, now that's unfortunate hahha.

sorry for them but  FORD sucks

So I was curious and read through the entire post. I guess the frame is cut to make it easy for the rear bump stops to be installed. When the rear suspension hits the bump stop with force it causes the frame to bend up in that area which causes the bed to be out of alignment. Even though the videos show the Raptor as a mean machine, I guess Ford deems what they do in the video as abuse and is denying customer claims.

Wonder how long the Raptor will still be in production when they market it as Raptor all looks and no balls!. Tsk Tsk, but I still feel bad for the owners, they bought into Fords gimmick videos.

And after some of Fords previous problems I wont be buying one anytime soon

Ok, there's nothing wrong with the Fords, but this is news to me, and I can see how this could happen when you're putting the truck through that much suspension travel and stress; that's when you find the weak points on anything, by pushing it hard. You learn the weak points of a vehicle at the track when gunning off the line running a set of slicks... if there's a weak point, you'll know... fast.

Well, that's a bummer. I read through all 32 pages and the pics don't lie. They do have a weak frame at the bump stop area.

I've owned 4 Phords...3 blew up on me and one tried to kill me.

I too read all 32 pages and am glad to say it will always be Ram country at my house!

I always see fords that have bent frames, even the older ones. Also at the track when you see the high powered fords like diesels run the 1/4 you can see the bed twist about 6" relative to the cab...
