4th of July
Had to have a feast to celebrate our country! What better way than with food. I marinated the rib eye for 24 hours, soaked the corn all day in water cand coated them in butter and closed the husks grilling them to perfection. Have to have marinated grilled mushrooms, coated the shrimp in fresh lemon and garlic butter, (my mother-in-law is visiting from India and made a spicy delicious marinate) for the chicken kabob, and had some nice butter and garlic noodles to finish it off. Also grilled some fresh salmon for the Mrs in garlic, butter, and lemon, but that wasn't on my plate. You can't beat a juicy ribeye!!!

They played here in Cincy (Blue ASh) and I knew some connections in the band

and I had them over, served them Buffalo steak. Nothing like cooking in the dark for folks you have listened to and followed for 25 years +.

Kinda a scary time doing that.

But it was the best.

Nice! I worked for a stage and lighting production company back in the early 80's that serviced many of the top acts at that time. We had done several YES stages including the famous "In the Round" stage several years earlier. In 1982 (I think) we were preparing the first tour of a new band called Asia (some of you will remember them) which contained members of Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer. They spent a week in our studio testing the new stage and preparing for the first North American tour. It just so happened Steve Howe from Yes had a birthday that week. We threw a little party in the studio for him. Very nice guy and one heck of a guitar player. I seriously doubt he would ever remember me but I will never forget meeting him.
