Took the ram to the track

I was heading to the track just with the intention of watching but when I got there, there wasn't many people. It was looking like it was going to rain that evening so I guess most people stayed home so i decided to race.

My best run was 15.27 @92.9 mph. The truck is a stock 2010 1500 crew cab 4x4 hemi with 3.55 gears. All it has is a magnaflow muffler welded in.

Overall I'm happy with that. The way I set it ip was I loaded up the torque converter, held the rpms around 2000 and set the manual shifter to 3rd to hold it at the red line going across the finish line. My first run I ran a 15.29 at 91 mph by leaving it in drive and allowing it to shift at the end of the track.

not bad for pretty much all stock c/c. I've yet to run my truck but it sounds like everyone has fun.

I've read from Chefred's posts that loading up the t/c like that causes the truck to pull timing resulting in a slower time. see if you are quicker next time by leaving at idle.

edit: I see he wrote the same thing to you in another thread...

Yea, found it out too late lol. But next time i will deffinately try that and hopefuly get a 15 flat or MAYBE a 14.9. Between that and getting my work bags out of the truck, you never know lol

LOL...yeah, a lighter load will help. That is a very respectable time!

Still scared to break something. Then of course the track announcer says "and for you people with new vehicles at the track, i suggest you take your front license plate off so when our track photographer takes a picture and posts it on the website, your dealer doesnt track that down"

Well i was already done by then... lol

Lol, never heard of a dealer tracking you down after taking a vehicle to the track, but there's a first for anything.
